The BMI USA 4115 is a lead-free brass threaded nipple designed for use in plumbing systems where code-compliant, low-lead fittings are required. Measuring 1/8 inch in diameter and 1.5 inches in length, this nipple connects pipe sections or fittings in tight spaces where a close or short nipple is needed. Constructed from brass with a red finish, it is well suited for potable water, low-pressure gas, and general plumbing service lines. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting as part of standard threaded pipe assemblies.
This nipple is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications, including supply line connections, fixture drops, and valve installations. Its compact 1/8-inch size makes it a practical choice for gauge connections, drain valves, and other small-diameter threaded ports. The lead-free construction meets requirements for use in drinking water systems under applicable plumbing codes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement brass nipple compatible with standard 1/8 inch NPT threaded fittings and pipe assemblies in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound to male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque.
