The BMI USA 4012 is a lead-free brass threaded nipple designed for use in plumbing supply and distribution systems. Measuring 3.5 inches in length, this fitting provides a reliable threaded connection between pipes, valves, and other fittings. Constructed from solid brass, it delivers corrosion resistance and long service life in both hot and cold water applications. The lead-free construction meets regulatory standards for potable water systems, making it appropriate for residential and light commercial installs handled by licensed plumbers.
This nipple is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems where a short threaded male-to-male connection is required. Common applications include water supply lines, boiler connections, and fixture rough-ins. Its brass construction makes it compatible with copper, CPVC, and other brass fittings using standard NPT threads. The 3.5-inch length fills close-nipple gaps in tight spaces where a longer run is not practical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement brass nipple for standard NPT threaded plumbing assemblies in residential and commercial potable water systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing any existing fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the male threads before making up the connection. Do not over-tighten threaded brass fittings, as excess torque can crack the fitting body or damage mating threads.
