The BMI USA 35623 is a 3/8-inch malleable iron pipe cross with a black finish, used to create four-way branch connections in threaded piping systems. Malleable iron construction provides the ductility and strength needed to handle mechanical stress and vibration in working pipe assemblies. This fitting is a standard component in gas, air, and fluid distribution systems where a four-way junction is required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting as part of rough-in and service work on both new construction and retrofit projects.
The 35623 is suited for residential and light commercial piping applications including gas distribution, compressed air lines, and general fluid conveyance. Its 3/8-inch thread size fits standard NPT-threaded pipe and fittings of the same size. The black finish is typical for gas service fittings and is widely accepted in those applications by local codes and inspectors.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting for use with standard 3/8-inch NPT piping systems in gas, air, and fluid distribution applications.
This fitting should be installed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes, including IFGC requirements for gas piping systems. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembly or installation. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended service medium. Do not overtighten, as malleable iron threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
