The BMI USA 10567 is a black steel pipe nipple designed for threaded pipe assemblies in plumbing, gas distribution, and mechanical piping systems. This close-tolerance fitting connects two female-threaded fittings or valves and carries fluids or gases through residential and light commercial installations. At 7 inches in length and 0.75-inch nominal diameter, it fits standard NPT piping runs where a short rigid extension is required. The black steel finish makes it a common choice for gas piping applications where galvanized fittings are not specified. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers.
This nipple is suited for use in natural gas, propane, steam, and hydronic heating piping systems, as well as general industrial fluid conveyance. It is commonly found in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and residential gas appliance hookups where threaded steel pipe is the specified material. Its 7-inch length bridges moderate gaps between valves, tees, elbows, and other threaded fittings in a piping run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard component for 0.75-inch NPT threaded piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing, gas, and mechanical applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing and mechanical codes, including IFGC requirements for gas piping. Shut off the gas supply or isolate the water system before making any threaded connections. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended service medium to all male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or damage threads.
