The BMI 14753 is a 3/4-inch press-connection sediment faucet designed for use in potable water and plumbing systems where periodic flushing or draining of sediment-laden lines is required. Built as a lead-free brass valve, it meets current regulatory standards for use on drinking water systems. The press-style end connection eliminates the need for soldering, allowing faster installation in tight spaces or retrofit applications. This fitting is suited for licensed plumbers working on residential and light commercial water distribution systems.
Sediment faucets of this type are commonly installed at water heater drain points, boiler drain locations, and low points in water supply piping where debris or scale accumulation can occur. The 3/4-inch press connection makes it compatible with press-fit copper or compatible tubing systems, reducing torch work and open-flame hazards in the field. It is well-suited for new construction plumbing rough-in as well as service and replacement work on existing systems.
Designed as an OEM-style lead-free brass sediment faucet for 3/4-inch press-fit plumbing systems in residential and light commercial water distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or replacing this faucet. Press connections require a calibrated press tool and the correct jaw size for the tubing diameter — confirm tool compatibility before pressing. Do not overtighten or apply excessive force to the valve body during installation.
