The BK 521-963HN is a black malleable iron hex bushing designed to reduce a 1-1/4 inch male pipe thread to a 1/2 inch female pipe thread. This fitting is used to connect pipes of two different sizes in low-pressure gas, water, and steam piping systems. The hexagonal body allows for wrench engagement during installation and removal. Material conforms to ANSI/ASTM A-197 malleable iron standards. Dimensions meet ANSI/ASME B16.14 and B16.39. Threads are cut to ANSI B1.20.1 NPT standards.
