Product Description

The BK 510-303BG is a 1/2 inch 90-degree street galvanized malleable iron elbow, also referred to as a 1/4 bend. This fitting is used to change pipe direction at a 90-degree angle in threaded piping systems. One end is male-threaded (the street end) and one end is female-threaded, allowing direct connection without an additional nipple. Constructed from galvanized malleable iron per ANSI/ASTM A-197, this fitting meets dimensional standards ANSI/ASME B16.3, B16.14, and B16.39, with threads conforming to ANSI B1.20.1. Each fitting is individually flag tagged and 100 percent inspected at the factory. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.

This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, gas distribution, and general mechanical piping applications where galvanized threaded fittings are required. The 90-degree street configuration is commonly used in tight spaces where a standard elbow and separate nipple would not fit. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements where gas service applies. Do not over-tighten malleable iron fittings, as this can crack the casting.
