The BK 496-921 is a braided stainless steel ice maker connector hose designed to supply water to ice makers and similar fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial installations. The hose measures 0.25 inches in diameter and 6 feet in length, giving technicians and plumbers enough reach for most standard appliance hookups. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braided with Type 304 stainless steel for added strength and long-term durability. Chrome-plated brass hex connector nuts and washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal without the need for additional thread sealant on mating fittings. Rated to 125 psi and 180 degrees F, this hose meets the pressure and temperature demands of typical residential and light commercial water supply lines.
This connector is suited for water supply connections to ice makers, refrigerators, and similar fixtures in residential kitchens, commercial foodservice equipment rooms, and light industrial settings. The 6-foot length accommodates appliance installations where the supply valve is not immediately adjacent to the unit. It is IAPMO listed, making it acceptable on jobs where the authority having jurisdiction requires listed plumbing materials. Licensed plumbers and service technicians are the primary installers of this type of hose connector.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation connector for 0.25 inch water supply connections to ice makers, refrigerators, and similar fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified service technician in accordance with local plumbing codes and IAPMO-adopted standards. Shut off the water supply at the nearest isolation valve and relieve line pressure before disconnecting any existing hose. Hand-tighten the brass connector nuts fully before applying a final quarter-turn with an open-end wrench — do not over-torque, as the brass nuts and integral washers are designed to seal without excessive force. Inspect the connection for leaks immediately after restoring water pressure.
