The BK 496-152 is a braided stainless steel toilet supply connector designed for water supply connections to toilet fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing installations. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braided with Type 304 stainless steel for strength and long-term durability. Chrome-plated brass hex connector nuts and washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal. The connector is rated for a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi. Licensed plumbers and plumbing contractors install this fitting as a code-compliant supply connection between the shut-off valve and the toilet tank fill valve.
This connector is suited for water supply hookups in residential bathrooms, commercial restrooms, and light industrial facilities. The 1/2 inch FIP inlet connects to a standard angle stop or straight stop valve, while the 7/8 inch BC outlet fits a standard ballcock or fill valve shank nut on most toilet tanks. At 16 inches in length, it accommodates typical wall-to-toilet rough-in distances without excess slack. The IAPMO listing confirms compliance with applicable plumbing product standards for use in regulated installations.
Designed as a standard replacement or new-installation toilet supply connector for fixtures using a 1/2 inch FIP valve outlet and a 7/8 inch ballcock shank nut connection.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified plumbing technician. Shut off the water supply at the angle stop or straight stop valve and flush the toilet to relieve pressure before disconnecting the existing connector. Hand-tighten the brass nuts onto both the valve outlet and the ballcock shank, then snug with pliers — do not overtighten, as over-torquing the brass nuts can crack the fitting or seat. Verify no leaks at both ends after restoring water supply.
