The BK 496-105 is a braided stainless steel toilet supply connector designed for water supply connections to toilet fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing installations. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braided with type 304 stainless steel for tensile strength and long-term durability. Chrome-plated brass hex nuts and washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal without the need for tools. Rated to a maximum pressure of 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F, this connector is built to handle standard water supply conditions. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this connector as a direct supply line between the shutoff valve and the toilet tank fill valve.
The 496-105 is sized with a 3/8 inch female compression inlet and a 7/8 inch ballcock nut outlet, spanning a 20 inch length. This sizing is standard for most residential and light commercial toilet installations where a 3/8 inch angle stop or straight stop shutoff valve feeds the toilet tank. The connector is IAPMO listed, making it acceptable under the Uniform Plumbing Code for use in jurisdictions that enforce IAPMO standards. It is sold as a single unit and is appropriate for new construction, renovation, and fixture replacement work.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation supply line for toilet fixtures requiring a 3/8 inch female compression inlet and a 7/8 inch ballcock nut outlet with a 20 inch reach. Approved for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply connection applications per IAPMO listing.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified trades person. Shut off the water supply at the angle stop or straight stop shutoff valve and flush the toilet to relieve pressure before disconnecting the existing supply line. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the shutoff valve and the ballcock nut onto the fill valve inlet, then turn on the supply and inspect for leaks. Do not over-tighten with tools, as this can crack the ballcock inlet or distort the compression ferrule.
