The BK 496-073 is a braided stainless steel faucet supply connector designed for water supply connections between shutoff valves and plumbing fixtures. The construction layers a virgin PVC core with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braids it with 304 stainless steel for tensile strength and corrosion resistance. Fittings are chrome-plated brass hex nuts with washers that seat hand-tight, eliminating the need for tools at the connection points. Rated to 125 psi maximum working pressure and 180 degrees F maximum temperature, this connector handles typical residential hot and cold supply line conditions. Licensed plumbers and plumbing contractors are the primary installers.
This connector is approved for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply applications. It connects standard 3/8 inch female compression or FIP shutoff valve outlets to fixture supply inlets using a 3/8 inch OD end. The 20 inch length accommodates standard under-sink rough-in distances for faucets, toilets, and similar fixtures. IAPMO listing makes it acceptable under most adopted plumbing codes in North America.
Designed for water supply connections to faucets and plumbing fixtures with 3/8 inch female inlet fittings and 3/8 inch OD compression or equivalent outlet valves, suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson. Shut off the water supply at the main or branch shutoff valve and relieve line pressure before disconnecting existing supply lines. Hand-tighten the brass nuts onto the valve outlet and fixture inlet, then snug with a wrench no more than a quarter to half turn beyond hand-tight to avoid cracking the fitting seats. Verify no leaks under full working pressure before closing the cabinet or finishing the installation.
