The BK 496-063 is a braided stainless steel faucet supply connector designed for water supply connections between shutoff valves and faucet inlets. The connector features a virgin PVC core reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, over-braided with 304 stainless steel for strength and flexibility. Chrome-plated brass hex nuts with pre-installed washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal without the need for pipe dope or thread tape on compression ends. Rated to 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F, this connector suits residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing installations. Plumbers and fixture installers reach for this type of supply line during faucet replacement and new rough-in work.
This connector is intended for potable water supply connections to faucets and similar fixtures. The 1/2 inch female iron pipe (FIP) inlet and 1/2 inch compression outlet configuration covers a common faucet supply hookup. At 20 inches in length, it fits standard under-sink installations where the shutoff valve and faucet tail piece are within typical reach. Approved for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply applications, it is IAPMO listed and suitable for use wherever local plumbing codes require listed flexible connectors.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation flexible faucet supply connector for 1/2 inch FIP inlet and 1/2 inch compression outlet fittings in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before disconnecting any existing supply connector. Hand-tighten the nuts, then snug with an adjustable wrench — do not overtighten, as over-torquing brass nuts can crack fittings or distort the washer seal. Inspect for leaks at both connections after restoring supply pressure.
