The BK 496-061 is a braided stainless steel faucet supply connector designed for water supply connections between shutoff valves and faucet inlets. It features a 1/2-inch female iron pipe (FIP) fitting on one end and a 1/2-inch compression fitting on the other, with an overall length of 12 inches. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, over-braided with Type 304 stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance. Chrome-plated brass hex nuts and washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal without the need for tools. Rated to a maximum pressure of 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F.
The BK 496-061 is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply applications. It connects faucets, lavatory fixtures, and other plumbing fixtures to standard shutoff valves where a flexible supply line is required. Its flexible construction makes it easy to route in tight under-sink spaces, and the stainless steel braid provides protection against abrasion and accidental kinking during or after installation.
Approved for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply connections to fixtures. IAPMO listed. Suitable for use with standard 1/2-inch shutoff valves and faucet inlets requiring a compression supply connection.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or experienced DIYer following local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before disconnecting any existing supply line. Hand-tighten the connector nuts to seat the washers, then verify for leaks before returning the supply to full pressure. Avoid over-tightening, which can crack the brass nuts or distort the sealing washer.
