The BK 496-039 is a braided stainless steel faucet connector designed to supply water from a shutoff valve to a plumbing fixture. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braided with Type 304 stainless steel for strength and long-term durability. Chrome-plated brass hex nuts and washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal without the need for additional tools or thread sealant. Rated for a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F and a maximum pressure of 125 psi, this connector meets the demands of residential, commercial, and industrial water supply applications. It is IAPMO listed.
This connector is used for water supply connections to faucets, toilets, ice makers, and other plumbing fixtures. At 72 inches in length with 3/8 inch compression fittings on each end, it accommodates installations where standard shorter connectors fall short, such as pedestal sinks, vessel faucets, or retrofits with difficult access angles. The 3/8 inch compression x 3/8 inch compression configuration is a common fitment for residential and light commercial supply lines.
Approved for residential, commercial, and industrial applications for water supply connections to plumbing fixtures. Fits standard 3/8 inch compression supply shutoff valves and 3/8 inch compression inlet fittings on faucets and fixtures.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified trades professional. Shut off the water supply at the stop valve and relieve line pressure before disconnecting any existing connector. The hex nuts are designed for hand-tight installation followed by no more than one-quarter turn with a wrench — do not overtighten, as this can damage the washer or crack the fitting body. Verify the installation complies with local plumbing codes and applicable IPC requirements.
