The BK 496-037 is a braided stainless steel faucet connector designed for potable water supply connections between shutoff valves and plumbing fixtures. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braided with 304 stainless steel for strength and long-term durability. Chrome-plated brass hex nuts and washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal at both ends. Rated to a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this connector meets the demands of residential, commercial, and industrial water supply applications. IAPMO listed for code-compliant installations.
This connector is suited for use in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems where a flexible supply line is needed between a shutoff valve and a faucet or fixture. The 3/8 inch compression inlet and 3/8 inch compression outlet configuration, combined with the 48-inch length, accommodates a range of installation depths and offset scenarios commonly encountered in kitchen, lavatory, and utility sink rough-ins. Licensed plumbers and experienced plumbing contractors are the primary installers.
Approved for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply connections to plumbing fixtures where a 3/8 inch compression by 3/8 inch compression flexible supply connector is required.
Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before removing the existing connector. Hand-tighten the compression nuts to seat the washers, then snug with an adjustable wrench — avoid over-torquing brass nuts. Verify the installation complies with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. A licensed plumber should perform this work in jurisdictions that require it.
