The BK 496-015 is a braided stainless steel faucet connector designed for water supply connections between shut-off valves and faucet inlets. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braided with 304 stainless steel for added strength and burst resistance. Chrome-plated brass hex connector nuts and integrated washers deliver a dependable hand-tight seal without the need for tools or thread sealant. Rated to a maximum of 180 degrees F and 125 psi, this connector is built to handle typical residential, commercial, and industrial water supply conditions. Licensed plumbers and finish plumbers install this fitting during faucet rough-in and trim-out work.
The 496-015 is suited for connecting faucets, lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets, and similar fixtures to standard water supply shut-off valves. Both ends are 1/2 inch female iron pipe (FIP) with an overall hose length of 30 inches. The 30-inch length accommodates most under-sink cabinet depths and provides enough slack to ease alignment during installation. IAPMO listing confirms the connector meets recognized plumbing standards for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation connector for faucets and fixtures with 1/2 inch FIP water supply inlets, compatible with standard 1/2 inch FIP shut-off valves in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified plumbing professionals. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing connector or fittings. Hand-tighten the brass nuts onto the shut-off valve and faucet inlet, then snug slightly with a wrench if needed — avoid over-tightening, which can crack the brass nuts or damage the washer seat. Inspect for leaks at both connections after restoring water pressure.
