The BK 496-014 is a braided stainless steel faucet connector designed to supply water from shutoff valves to faucets, lavatory fixtures, and similar plumbing connections. The core is virgin PVC with polyester yarn braiding, over-braided with 304 stainless steel for added strength and corrosion resistance. Chrome-plated brass hex nuts and pre-installed washers allow a dependable hand-tight seal without tools. Rated to 125 psi maximum working pressure and 180 degrees F maximum temperature, this connector handles the demands of everyday residential, commercial, and industrial water supply service. Licensed plumbers and skilled tradespeople install this type of connector as part of fixture rough-in and trim-out work.
The 496-014 measures 24 inches in length with 1/2 inch female connections on both ends, making it a standard fit for most faucet supply applications. It is IAPMO listed, confirming compliance with recognized plumbing codes and standards for water supply connections to fixtures. The braided construction and brass hardware make it appropriate for use in concealed cabinet spaces under sinks, lavatories, and similar fixture locations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement faucet supply connector for standard 1/2 inch female threaded shutoff valve outlets and faucet inlet shanks in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before disconnecting any existing supply lines. Hand-tighten the brass nuts onto both the shutoff valve outlet and the faucet inlet shank, then snug slightly with a wrench if needed — avoid overtightening, which can crack the brass nuts or distort the washer seal. Verify no leaks under normal operating pressure before closing the cabinet or finishing the installation.
