The BK 496-012 is a braided stainless steel faucet supply connector rated for water supply connections to plumbing fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial installations. The core is virgin PVC reinforced with polyester yarn braiding, then over-braided with 304 stainless steel for strength and pressure resistance. Chrome-plated brass hex nuts and integrated washers provide a dependable hand-tight seal at both ends. The connector is rated to a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi. It carries IAPMO listing, confirming compliance with applicable plumbing code requirements.
This connector is used to link supply stop valves to faucets, lavatory fixtures, and similar water-supply inlets. The 1/2 inch female iron pipe (FIP) connections on both ends make it compatible with standard supply stops and fixture inlet shanks. At 16 inches in length, it fits typical under-sink rough-in conditions for both new construction and replacement service in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. Licensed plumbers and qualified service technicians are the primary installers.
Approved for residential, commercial, and industrial water supply connections to plumbing fixtures. Fits standard 1/2 inch FIP supply stops and fixture inlet connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IAPMO-adopted standards. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before disconnecting existing supply lines. Thread the brass nuts hand-tight onto the stop valve and fixture inlet shank, then snug with a wrench — avoid over-tightening, which can crack the nut or distort the washer. Inspect for leaks at both connections after restoring water supply.
