The BK 110-223hn is a full-port, quarter-turn gas ball valve built for dependable shutoff in residential and light commercial gas systems. Manufactured from forged brass with a chrome-plated brass ball, the valve delivers smooth, consistent flow control across LP gas, natural gas, and fuel oil applications. Female iron pipe (FIP) connections on both ends simplify in-line installation. The valve carries CSA-ANSI Z21.15 certification and UL listing, meeting code requirements where compliant shutoff hardware is mandatory. Typical installers include licensed plumbers and gas fitters working on appliance drops, meter sets, and branch line shutoffs.
The 110-223hn is sized at 0.5 inches and suited for in-line gas shutoff on residential appliances, light commercial equipment, and fuel oil supply lines. The quarter-turn steel handle allows fast manual shutoff without tools. The corrosion-resistant forged brass body holds up in both indoor mechanical rooms and exterior installations where moisture and temperature cycling are common service conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shutoff valve for 0.5-inch gas and fuel oil lines in residential and light commercial systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified gas fitter in accordance with local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off the gas supply at the meter or main shutoff and verify zero pressure in the line before beginning work. Apply approved thread sealant rated for gas service to all threaded connections. Pressure-test the completed assembly per local code requirements before returning the system to service.
