The BESSEY SGL-24 is a heavy-duty F-style sliding arm bar clamp built for demanding fabrication, woodworking, and general trade applications. It delivers up to 1,800 pounds of clamping pressure through a forged steel T-handle and a high carbon steel spindle measuring 0.7 inches in diameter. The steel frame carries a 24-inch maximum capacity and a 4-3/4 inch throat depth, giving tradespeople enough reach for wide workpieces and structural assemblies. An electrogalvanized finish resists corrosion in shop and jobsite environments. Licensed contractors, ironworkers, pipefitters, and skilled woodworkers rely on this style of clamp for consistent, repeatable holding force across a wide range of materials.
The SGL-24 is suited for residential and commercial fabrication shops, millwork operations, and on-site carpentry or structural work where a full-length 24-inch bar clamp is required. The sliding arm design allows quick one-handed positioning along the rail before final tightening, reducing setup time on repetitive clamping tasks. The heavy-duty steel pad and standard rail profile make it appropriate for both light assembly and higher-load glue-up or metalworking operations.
Designed as a direct-use F-style bar clamp within the BESSEY SGL series, compatible with standard replacement pads and accessories designed for the SGL rail profile.
This clamp is a hand tool requiring no power source or installation. Before applying clamping pressure to finished or soft materials, verify that the steel pad will not damage the workpiece surface and use protective cauls as needed. Do not exceed the rated clamping pressure by using pipe extensions or cheater bars on the T-handle. Inspect the spindle threads and sliding arm mechanism for wear or debris before each use.
