The BESSEY RSC-18 is a sliding arm bar clamp built for high-pressure clamping applications in fabrication, woodworking, and metal assembly work. It delivers 1,100 pounds of clamping pressure across a maximum capacity of 18 inches, with a 4.75-inch throat depth that provides clearance for most standard workpiece profiles. The frame, handle, and pad are all steel construction, with the spindle machined from high carbon steel for durability under repeated load cycles. The electrogalvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in shop environments. The T-handle design gives tradespeople and fabricators reliable torque without additional tools.
The RSC-18 is suited for professional bench and field use where consistent clamping force is required over medium-span workpieces. Typical applications include panel glue-ups, metal fabrication setups, fixture holding, and structural assembly where 18 inches of capacity covers the workpiece span. The 4.75-inch throat depth accommodates deeper stock or stacked material assemblies. The sliding arm mechanism allows rapid repositioning along the rail, reducing setup time when clamping multiple points in sequence.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production unit within the BESSEY RSC Series, compatible with standard pad accessories for RSC Series clamps.
Install and operate by hand without power tools. Ensure the workpiece is fully seated against both the fixed and sliding jaw pads before applying clamping pressure to avoid slippage or uneven load distribution. Do not exceed the rated clamping pressure by using cheater bars or impact tools on the T-handle. Inspect the rail, spindle, and pad contact surfaces for wear or damage before each use.
