The BESSEY ezs15-8 is a dual-function one-handed trigger clamp and spreader designed for woodworking, fabrication, and general trade work. The jaws are reversible: face them inward for clamping, outward for spreading. With a maximum jaw opening of 6 inches, a spreading capacity range of 6.5 inches to 14 inches, and a clamping force of 445 pounds, this tool handles a wide range of holding and separation tasks. The bar is steel and the jaw pads are made of polyamide with a flat profile, measuring 1.875 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide. Throat depth is 3.5 inches. Carpenters, cabinetmakers, trim carpenters, and general tradespeople keep this style of clamp on hand for everyday shop and job-site use.
The ezs15-8 is suited for clamping glued joints on wood, holding material steady while cutting or drilling overhanging workpieces at a bench edge, and separating assembled components. The one-handed trigger mechanism allows the operator to position and clamp simultaneously without setting down the workpiece. The spreading function makes it useful for pushing apart fitted assemblies or supporting long stock during layout work.
Designed as a general-purpose one-handed bar clamp and spreader suitable for woodworking benches, cabinetry assembly, trim work, and light fabrication applications requiring jaw openings up to 6 inches.
No permanent installation is required. Inspect jaw pads before each use and confirm they are seated securely to prevent slipping under load. When using as a spreader, ensure the workpiece or assembly is stable and supported before applying force. Follow applicable workshop safety practices and wear appropriate PPE when operating near cutting or drilling equipment.
