The BESSEY 1800-S12 is a heavy-duty F-style sliding arm bar clamp built for professional fabrication, woodworking, and general trade assembly work. It delivers 1,980 pounds of clamping pressure through a 0.7-inch high carbon steel spindle, with a 12-inch maximum clamping capacity and a 4-3/4 inch throat depth that allows access on wider workpieces. The electrogalvanized steel frame and rail resist corrosion in shop environments. The composite T-handle provides consistent grip during one-handed positioning, and the included Ergonomic Bessey Grip and MorPad give operators a secure, controlled feel during tightening. The patented rail profile is a defining feature of the 1800-S series design.
The 1800-S12 is suited for residential and commercial shop applications where repeatable, high-pressure clamping is required. Typical use cases include cabinetry assembly, structural woodworking, metal fabrication staging, and general fixture work. The sliding arm design allows fast one-handed adjustment along the 12-inch rail before final tightening, making it practical for production workflows where setup speed matters. The medium-duty steel pads are appropriate for clamping solid materials where surface marking is not a primary concern.
Designed as a direct-use clamp in the BESSEY 1800-S series. Compatible with standard F-clamp workflows requiring a 12-inch capacity rail in fabrication, woodworking, and general assembly applications.
No permanent installation is required for this clamp. Position the sliding arm along the rail before applying load, then tighten the T-handle spindle by hand to the desired clamping pressure. Avoid over-tightening beyond workpiece requirements, as steel pads can mark softer materials. Inspect the spindle threads and rail engagement points periodically for wear or debris buildup.
