The BES glf718 is a glow-in-the-dark wire pulling rod kit designed for fishing wire and cable through walls, attics, drop ceilings, and other confined or hard-to-reach spaces. The kit includes eight fiberglass rod sections, each measuring 18 inches in length, that thread together to reach a maximum assembled length of 12 feet. Each rod is 5/32 inch in diameter. The fiberglass construction keeps the rods lightweight and non-conductive, making them safe to use around live wiring during rough-in and retrofit electrical work.
This kit is suited for residential and light commercial electrical, low-voltage, and data wiring installations. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use these rods when pulling wire through finished walls, above suspended ceilings, or into attic spaces where direct access is limited. The glow-in-the-dark material helps locate the rod tip in dark cavities without additional lighting, improving workflow in retrofit and remodel scenarios.
Designed as a general-purpose wire fishing rod kit suitable for residential and light commercial electrical, low-voltage, data, and audio-video rough-in or retrofit installations.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or low-voltage technicians. Before fishing wire through an existing wall or ceiling cavity, verify that no live conductors, gas lines, or obstructions are present in the path. Sections should be hand-tightened at each threaded joint before pushing or pulling to prevent separation inside a wall cavity. Always follow applicable NEC requirements for wire type, routing, and protection when pulling conductors through concealed spaces.
