The BERNARD 1110015 is a tapered nozzle insulator designed for MIG welding applications. This component sits between the nozzle and the front end of the welding gun, providing electrical isolation to protect the gun body from spatter and arc damage. It is rated for a maximum wire outside diameter of 0.5 inches (14.20 mm) and features a bore diameter of 0.5 inches. MIG welding technicians and fabricators install this insulator as a routine maintenance part to extend front-end component life and maintain consistent weld quality.
This insulator is intended for use with Bernard MIG welding guns. It is a direct replacement part suited for welding operations in light industrial, fabrication, and manufacturing environments where Bernard front-end consumables are already in service. Replacing worn or cracked insulators helps prevent shorts, arc faults, and premature nozzle failure during continuous or high-duty-cycle welding work.
Designed for use with Bernard MIG welding guns accepting a 0.5 inch maximum wire outside diameter front-end configuration.
Installation is performed by qualified welding technicians or maintenance personnel. Before servicing front-end consumables, disconnect the welding gun from the power source and allow the gun to cool completely. Remove the nozzle and existing insulator, then seat the replacement insulator fully before reinstalling the nozzle. Inspect adjacent front-end components such as the contact tip and diffuser during each insulator replacement.
