The BENJAMIN MOORE WR1010092-01 is a waterborne acrylic emulsion pool paint formulated for direct application over most existing pool coatings in sound condition, bare concrete cured for a minimum of 60 days, and plaster surfaces. This self-priming, semi-gloss finish eliminates the need for a separate primer coat in most applications. Low VOC content makes it compliant with environmentally conscious project requirements. Coverage runs approximately 250 to 300 square feet per gallon. The paint can be applied to damp surfaces and dries quickly enough to allow recoating without extended downtime. It is rated for continuous submersion in both fresh and salt water.
This pool paint is suited for residential and light commercial concrete and plaster pool surfaces, including interior and exterior applications. Typical uses include in-ground and above-ground concrete pools, baby pools, and similar water containment structures exposed to fresh or salt water environments. It resists mildew, algae growth, and sun tan oils. For outdoor pools, a minimum dry time of 5 days after the final coat is required before filling. Indoor pools require at least 10 days of drying time in well-circulated air before filling.
Designed for application over most pool coating types in good, sound condition, as well as bare concrete cured 60 days or longer and plaster surfaces, including interior and exterior concrete pool structures exposed to fresh or salt water.
Surface preparation and application should follow the Insl-X swimming pool paint brochure instructions. Power down any pool equipment and allow the pool to be fully drained and dry or damp-clean before application. Observe minimum cure times before refilling: 5 days for outdoor pools and 10 days for indoor pools in well-circulated air. Application is typically performed by painting contractors or experienced pool service professionals familiar with surface prep and coating compatibility requirements.
