The BELL GOSSETT BG 106189 is a Series 100 NFI oil-lubricated circulator pump designed for residential and light commercial hydronic heating and low-pressure boosting applications. Rated at 1/12 HP and 115 volts, it delivers flow up to 33 GPM with a maximum head of 8 feet. The cast iron construction houses a precision-ground, oversized pump shaft with a hardened integral thrust collar that minimizes end-thrust for extended seal and bearing life. The mechanical seal is engineered to handle a wide range of water temperatures up to 225 degrees F, pressures, additives, and dissolved solids common in closed hydronic systems. Includes gaskets, bolts, and oil at time of installation. Not rated for potable water service. Also referenced as Bell Gossett model 100NFI.
The BG 106189 is intended for closed-loop hydronic heating systems in residential and light commercial buildings. It is well suited for forced hot water heating loops, radiant floor systems, and low-pressure circulating applications where quiet operation and minimal maintenance are required. The flanged connection design accepts 3/4 inch, 1 inch, 1-1/4 inch, and 1-1/2 inch piping configurations, providing flexibility across a range of system layouts. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the typical installing trade for this type of circulator.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit circulator for residential and light commercial closed-loop hydronic heating systems. Also referenced under Bell Gossett model number 100NFI. Not for use in potable water systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician familiar with hydronic piping systems. Shut down and depressurize the system and allow it to cool before removing or installing the pump. Follow local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) for pipe connections and pressure testing. Do not use in open or potable water systems.
