The BELIMO EP100+LRX-E is a pressure independent control valve (PICV) assembly combining a 2-way, 1-inch valve body with an electric rotary actuator for hydronic system flow control. The valve delivers equal percentage flow characteristics at a rated 18.2 GPM with a close-off pressure rating of 200 psi. The integrated actuator operates on 24 volts AC or DC and supports modulating control via BACnet MS/TP, Modbus RTU, and MP-Bus communication protocols. Stainless steel trim provides corrosion resistance in chilled water and heating hot water applications. Licensed HVAC technicians and building automation specialists are the primary installers of this assembly.
This valve assembly is suited for commercial hydronic systems where variable flow and pressure independence are required for zone-level control. Typical applications include air handling unit coil circuits, fan coil units, and chilled or hot water distribution in variable primary or primary-secondary hydronic plants. The equal percentage flow characteristic makes it well matched to modulating control loops where precise flow management across a wide range of operating conditions is essential. The non-spring return actuator retains its last commanded position on power loss.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure independent control valve assembly for commercial hydronic systems requiring 2-way modulating flow control with BACnet MS/TP, Modbus RTU, or MP-Bus network communication.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or building automation controls specialist familiar with hydronic piping and low-voltage wiring practices. Isolate and depressurize the hydronic system and shut off all electrical power to the circuit before beginning installation or removal. Female NPT connections should be made with appropriate thread sealant rated for the fluid service. BACnet, Modbus, or MP-Bus network wiring must comply with applicable local codes and the building automation system wiring requirements.
