The BELIMO ARB24-MFT is a non-spring-return valve actuator designed for precise analog control of HVAC hydronic and air-handling valve applications. Operating on 24 VAC or 24 VDC power with a 6 VA power draw, this actuator delivers up to 180 in-lb of torque to drive rotary ball valves and butterfly valves in commercial and industrial systems. The MFT (Multi-Function Technology) control input accepts analog signals, allowing field-configurable control modes to match the sequence of operation required by the building automation system. Licensed HVAC technicians and controls specialists are the primary installers.
The ARB24-MFT is suited for commercial HVAC systems where non-spring-return, fail-in-place actuator operation is acceptable and proportional or configurable analog control is required. Typical applications include two-way and three-way hydronic valve control on air handling units, fan coil units, and variable air volume systems. The NEMA 2 and IP54 enclosure rating makes it suitable for indoor mechanical room environments where limited moisture exposure is possible. It is not intended for outdoor or fully wet locations without additional protection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation actuator for rotary valve applications requiring a 24V non-spring-return actuator with analog MFT control input in commercial HVAC systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or controls specialist familiar with building automation wiring practices. De-energize the control panel and close the system isolation valves before mounting or wiring the actuator. Low-voltage wiring must comply with NEC Class 2 circuit requirements. Verify the analog control signal type and range are configured correctly at the actuator before commissioning to avoid valve over-travel or incorrect sequencing.
