Built with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket and rated OFNR (Optical Fiber Nonconductive Riser), this cable meets riser-space fire and smoke requirements without emitting toxic halogen gases in the event of combustion. The OS2 single-mode construction supports long-distance, high-bandwidth signal transmission, making it well suited for structured cabling backbones and data center interconnects. Licensed network cabling technicians and low-voltage contractors are the primary installers.
This cable is used in commercial and enterprise environments where riser-rated, halogen-free fiber runs are required by code or building specification. Typical applications include inter-floor backbone runs, telecommunications room-to-equipment room connections, and high-density patch panel installations. The 48-fiber count makes it appropriate for consolidation points in large structured cabling systems or multi-channel data center fiber pathways where conduit fill and jacket toxicity are both design constraints.

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or network cabling contractor familiar with TIA-568 and NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 770 requirements for optical fiber cabling. De-energize and lock out any adjacent electrical systems before pulling cable through shared pathways. Observe minimum bend radius guidelines for the cable throughout the pull and at termination points to avoid fiber damage. Do not exceed the cable's rated tensile load during installation.
