The BELDEN INC. TUSDK036RN2N is a tight-buffered, 36-fiber OS2 singlemode fiber optic cable rated for riser (OFNR) installations with a CPE (customer premises equipment) outer jacket. OS2 singlemode fiber is designed for long-distance, low-attenuation data and communications runs where high bandwidth and low signal loss are required. This cable is sold as a single unit and is typically installed by licensed low-voltage technicians, structured cabling contractors, and telecom professionals working in commercial or industrial facilities.
This cable is suited for indoor riser-rated vertical runs between floors in commercial buildings, data centers, and telecommunications rooms. The tight-buffered construction makes it well-suited for direct termination without a breakout kit, simplifying field connector installation. The OFNR rating meets NEC requirements for riser pathways where plenum-rated cable is not mandated. It is appropriate for backbone cabling infrastructure in enterprise, campus, and industrial network environments.
Designed as an OEM-style riser-rated OS2 singlemode fiber optic cable for use with standard SC, LC, ST, and FC singlemode connectors and patch panels in commercial structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or structured cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 and NEC Article 770 requirements. Observe minimum bend radius specifications for the cable during pulling and routing to avoid fiber damage. Do not exceed the rated pulling tension when routing through conduit or cable trays. All fiber terminations and splices should be performed with appropriate fusion splicing or mechanical termination equipment rated for OS2 singlemode fiber.
