The BELDEN INC. TU1LG144RS2N is a multimode OM1 144-fiber indoor distribution cable designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and institutional buildings. This cable uses an OFCR (optical fiber, conductive, riser) rating, making it compliant for installation in riser pathways between floors. The tight-buffered, multi-fiber construction supports high-density fiber terminations in telecom rooms, data centers, and backbone runs where a large fiber count is needed in a compact, manageable cable form.
This cable is suited for indoor riser applications in commercial buildings, campuses, and industrial facilities. It is typically installed between telecommunications rooms and equipment rooms, or as a backbone between floors. The 144-fiber count makes it appropriate for high-density distribution frames and patch panel environments where consolidating many fiber runs into a single cable pathway reduces conduit congestion and simplifies cable management.
Designed as an OEM-style indoor riser fiber distribution cable compatible with standard SC, ST, LC, and FC multimode connectors and patch panels supporting 62.5/125 OM1 multimode fiber terminations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician or licensed electrician familiar with NEC Article 770 requirements for optical fiber riser cables. Power down all active equipment connected to the fiber pathway before splicing or terminating. Observe the manufacturer minimum bend radius during pulling and routing to avoid microbend losses. Do not exceed the rated pulling tension of the cable during installation.
