The BELDEN INC. FT3LC900PR12 is a factory-terminated fiber optic pigtail designed for OM3 multimode fiber installations using an LC simplex connector with a 900-micron tight-buffered construction. This pigtail is intended for splicing into fiber optic distribution runs where a pre-terminated end is required on one side, eliminating field polishing and reducing installation time. It is a single-unit component sold individually and suits structured cabling technicians and low-voltage installation contractors working in data center, enterprise LAN, or telecommunications environments.
This pigtail is suited for indoor fiber optic termination work in premises cabling applications. The 900-micron tight-buffer design is common in splice trays, fiber distribution panels, and enclosures where flexibility and compact routing are required. OM3 graded-index multimode fiber supports high-bandwidth applications at standard short-reach wavelengths. Licensed low-voltage contractors and network infrastructure installers are the primary trades for this component.
Designed as an OEM-style pigtail for use in OM3 multimode fiber optic distribution and termination systems utilizing LC simplex connector interfaces.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or fiber optic technician following TIA-568 or applicable structured cabling standards. De-energize and disconnect active optical transceivers before handling fiber ends. Inspect the LC ferrule end-face with an appropriate fiber inspection scope before mating. Avoid sharp bend radii below the minimum bend radius specified for 900-micron tight-buffer fiber to prevent signal loss or physical damage.
