The BELDEN INC. FS3H0726G is a heavy-duty loose tube OM3 multimode fiber optic cable configured with 72 fibers in an outdoor-rated, singlemode-plenum CST (Corrugated Steel Tape) armored construction. Designed for high-density backbone and campus distribution runs, this cable delivers the fiber count and physical protection required for demanding infrastructure projects. The OM3 rating supports high-bandwidth applications including 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE transmission over appropriate distances. Licensed electricians, low-voltage contractors, and fiber optic technicians are the primary installers.
This cable is suited for outdoor-to-indoor transition runs where plenum rating is required for air-handling space compliance. The CST armor layer provides crush and rodent resistance for installations that pass through mechanical rooms, conduit, or direct-burial-adjacent pathways before entering plenum-rated spaces. It is appropriate for enterprise campus backbones, data center interconnects, and telecommunications infrastructure where a single ruggedized cable must serve both outdoor and indoor plenum environments without a transition splice.
Designed as an OEM-style fiber optic backbone cable for use in outdoor-to-indoor plenum transition pathways requiring OM3 multimode performance and CST armored protection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage contractor or certified fiber optic technician in accordance with NEC Article 770 and applicable local codes governing optical fiber cable in plenum spaces. De-energize any co-located electrical systems and follow OSHA confined space and cable pulling tension guidelines before pulling this cable through conduit or cable tray. Do not exceed the cable manufacturer's minimum bend radius during installation, as excessive bending can cause fiber microbending loss or permanent damage. Terminate and test all fibers with appropriate fusion splicing or mechanical connector equipment rated for OM3 multimode use.
