The BELDEN INC. CAF1104010 is a Cat6 network patch cable rated for CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable, Riser) applications. It measures 10 feet in length and is finished in yellow jacket material for easy identification in structured cabling installations. Designed for use in data networking environments, this patchcord supports Gigabit and 10G-capable horizontal runs where a reliable, code-rated jumper is needed between patch panels, switches, or network equipment. Licensed low-voltage technicians and network cabling contractors are the typical installers of this component.
This patch cable is suited for commercial and residential riser-rated structured cabling systems. CMR-rated cables are approved for use in vertical runs between floors where the cable passes through a riser shaft or open return-air plenum is not a concern. The yellow jacket color is commonly used in network installations to visually distinguish specific circuits or VLANs. It is sold individually and is a standard component in Cat6 and Cat6E patch cable infrastructures.
Designed as a standard Cat6 patch cable for use with Cat6 and Cat6E patch panels, keystone jacks, and network switches in riser-rated structured cabling systems.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage or network cabling technicians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Ensure patch panel and switch ports are powered down or that the network segment is taken offline before replacing active links to avoid data disruption. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius of the cable during routing, and avoid sharp edges or cable ties cinched too tightly, as these can degrade signal performance. CMR-rated cable must not be substituted for CMP (plenum) cable in air-handling spaces.
