The BELDEN INC. CA21300015 is a Cat6 pigtail-style patch cable finished in black with a CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable, Riser) rating. CMR-rated cables meet fire propagation requirements for vertical runs between floors in commercial and residential buildings, making this cable suitable for structured cabling installations where riser-rated pathways are required. The pigtail configuration — a factory-terminated end on one side — is used when field-terminating patch points, keystone jacks, or consolidation points. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors are the primary installers for this type of cable assembly.
This cable is used in Cat6 structured cabling systems supporting Ethernet networks up to 1 Gbps at 100 meters or 10 Gbps at shorter distances. It is suited for commercial office environments, data closets, and riser runs where a CMR fire rating is required by local codes. The pigtail format is commonly used at consolidation points, wall plates, or patch panel terminations where a field-dressed connection is needed on one end.
Designed for use in Cat6 and Cat6E structured cabling systems. Compatible with standard Cat6 keystone jacks, patch panels, and consolidation point hardware requiring riser-rated cable assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling contractor or qualified network technician. Follow local building codes and TIA-568 standards for Cat6 cabling practices, including bend radius and pulling tension limits. De-energize any active equipment at the termination point before connecting or disconnecting cable assemblies. CMR-rated cable must be installed in riser-rated pathways as defined by the applicable building and fire codes.
