The BELDEN INC. CA21100034 is a CAT6 patch cord rated CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable, Riser) finished in black. It is designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential buildings where riser-rated cabling is required between floors or vertical runs. The CMR rating meets NEC requirements for riser installations, making it suitable for in-wall and plenum-adjacent runs where a riser-rated jacket is specified. Electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians use this cord to terminate network equipment, patch panels, and data drops at a 34-unit count per package.
This patch cord is suited for horizontal and riser cabling applications in office buildings, data closets, and structured wiring panels. CAT6 performance supports Gigabit Ethernet and 10G short-run applications as defined under the B10GX designation. It is well suited for installations where riser compliance is required under NEC Article 800 and where a black jacket finish is specified for cable management or identification purposes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit patch cord for CAT6 and CAT6E structured cabling systems using standard RJ45 terminations in riser-rated environments.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or certified low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with NEC Article 800 and applicable local codes. De-energize and power down all active network equipment before connecting or disconnecting patch cords in live data environments. Avoid sharp bends below the minimum bend radius of CAT6 cable to maintain signal integrity. Do not use CMR-rated cable as a substitute for CMP (plenum) rated cable in air-handling spaces.
