The BELDEN INC. 3613 004U1000 is a Cat6 plenum-rated network cable designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential buildings. This 1000-foot box contains a 4-pair unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable with a CMP (Communications Multipurpose Plenum) jacket rating, making it suitable for installation in air-handling spaces and plenum ceilings where building codes require low-smoke, flame-retardant materials. The yellow jacket aids in quick visual identification during installation and future maintenance. Licensed low-voltage technicians and data cabling contractors are the primary installers of this product.
This cable is used in horizontal runs between network equipment rooms and end-user data outlets in office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and other commercial environments. Its CMP rating satisfies the most stringent in-building cable fire safety requirements under the National Electrical Code, making it appropriate where standard CMR-rated riser cable is not permitted. The 1000-foot pull box format is standard for structured cabling rough-in work.
Designed as a standard Cat6 plenum UTP cable compatible with 8P8C (RJ45) terminations, patch panels, keystone jacks, and other Cat6-rated structured cabling components per TIA-568 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with NEC Article 800 and local building codes. De-energize adjacent electrical systems and confirm plenum airspace boundaries with the building engineer before pulling cable. Avoid sharp bends exceeding the minimum bend radius and do not exceed the cable's pulling tension rating during installation. Terminate both ends with Cat6-rated jacks or patch panel ports to maintain channel performance.
