The BELDEN INC. 2412 010A1000 is a Category 6 unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) data cable rated for riser (CMR) installations. It features a 4-pair construction designed to support structured cabling systems that carry Ethernet and other data communications up to Cat6 performance standards. The CMR fire rating qualifies this cable for vertical runs between floors in commercial and residential buildings where plenum-rated cable is not required. Licensed low-voltage technicians and structured cabling installers are the primary trades that specify and terminate this product.
This cable is suited for horizontal and vertical backbone runs in commercial office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and multi-unit residential construction. It is appropriate for new construction as well as retrofit cabling projects where riser-rated pathways are used. The U/UTP design makes it compatible with standard RJ45 keystone jacks, patch panels, and modular plugs used in typical Cat6 infrastructure deployments.
Designed as an OEM-style riser cable for use with standard Cat6 patch panels, keystone jacks, and RJ45 modular plugs in structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or structured cabling contractor in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 and applicable local codes. Cable must be routed through listed riser pathways and firestop fittings where penetrating floor assemblies. Do not exceed the cable bend radius or pulling tension limits specified by the manufacturer during installation. Terminate pairs in the correct T568A or T568B pinout pattern and verify with a Cat6-rated cable tester before commissioning.
