The Belden FS3L0126G is a 12-fiber OM3 multimode loose tube fiber optic cable designed for outside plant (OSP) installation. Loose tube construction protects individual fiber strands from moisture, temperature swings, and mechanical stress in direct-buried or conduit-routed runs. OM3 multimode fiber supports high-bandwidth applications including 10-Gigabit Ethernet and structured cabling backbones. This cable is installed by licensed low-voltage contractors, network infrastructure technicians, and communications professionals working on campus, industrial, or utility projects.
This cable is suited for outside plant runs where environmental protection is required. Loose tube designs are commonly deployed in conduit, direct-buried trenches, and aerial installations between buildings or across campus campuses. The 12-fiber count makes it appropriate for medium-density backbone runs where multiple fiber pairs are needed to support current and future bandwidth demands. OM3-rated multimode fiber is compatible with 850 nm VCSEL-based transceivers commonly used in 10GbE and 40GbE switch infrastructure.
Designed as an OSP-rated loose tube multimode fiber optic cable for use with standard OM3-compatible connectors, patch panels, and fiber termination hardware in outside plant structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by qualified low-voltage or communications cabling professionals in accordance with TIA-568 and applicable local codes. De-energize and isolate all network equipment at the termination points before splicing or connectorizing. Observe the cable minimum bend radius during pulling and routing to avoid microbending loss. Use appropriate pulling grips and lubricant when routing through conduit to prevent jacket damage.
