The Belden 83802002500 is a FEP-insulated, shielded FEP multimedia cable designed for signal transmission in demanding environments. FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) insulation and jacketing provide excellent resistance to heat, chemicals, and flame, making this cable well-suited for industrial, commercial, and specialty AV or data installations where standard PVC constructions fall short. The shielded construction helps protect signal integrity by reducing electromagnetic interference. This type of cable is typically installed by electricians, low-voltage technicians, or systems integrators working in environments that require plenum-rated or chemically resistant wiring solutions.
This cable is appropriate for multimedia, instrumentation, or low-voltage signal applications in commercial and industrial settings. Its FEP jacket and insulation make it a strong candidate for use in air-handling spaces, high-temperature environments, or installations subject to harsh chemical exposure. It is sold individually as a single unit per the supplier unit of measure.
Designed as an OEM-style multimedia signal cable for use in low-voltage, instrumentation, or AV system installations requiring FEP-rated construction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage technician in accordance with NEC Article 800 or the applicable low-voltage wiring code for the jurisdiction. De-energize all circuits before terminating or splicing the cable. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the cable minimum bend radius, and do not staple or crush the jacket during routing, as this can compromise shielding effectiveness.
