The BECKETT SPIRA-H24-36 is a flexible spring circulator coupling designed for hydronic heating systems. It connects circulator pump motors to pump assemblies using a torsionally flexible spring element that absorbs vibration and accommodates minor shaft misalignment. Compatible with 1/2 inch by 5/8 inch and 5/8 inch by 5/8 inch shaft combinations, this coupling is rated for counterclockwise (CCW) rotation and supports motors ranging from 1/4 HP to 3/4 HP. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians working on closed-loop hydronic systems are the primary installers of this part.
This coupling is suited for residential and light commercial hydronic heating applications where Taco 121-138 Series in-line circulators are in service. It replaces worn or damaged couplings during circulator motor swaps or pump rebuilds. The flexible spring design is a common OEM-style configuration for these circulators, making this a direct-fit service part for technicians maintaining hot water baseboard and radiant floor heating systems.
Designed for use with Taco 121-138 Series in-line circulators with 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, and 3/4 HP motors. Shaft configurations supported are 1/2 inch by 5/8 inch and 5/8 inch by 5/8 inch, CCW rotation only.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Before servicing, shut off power to the circulator at the circuit breaker and allow the system to cool to a safe handling temperature. Ensure shaft dimensions and rotation direction match the replacement coupling before assembly. Do not force the coupling onto mismatched shaft sizes.
