The BD MANUFACTURING CRBMA100 is a straight male adapter fitting designed to connect a male threaded pipe end to a barbed hose or tubing connection. Constructed from solid brass, this fitting provides a durable, corrosion-resistant joint suitable for fluid transfer applications in plumbing, irrigation, and HVAC condensate systems. The fitting measures 1 inch on both the male pipe thread (MPT) end and the barbed end, making it a same-size transition piece. Plumbers, pipefitters, and irrigation technicians install this type of fitting when transitioning from threaded pipe to flexible hose or tubing runs.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a threaded pipe outlet must transition to a barbed hose connection. Common applications include condensate drain lines, pool and spa plumbing, irrigation manifolds, and general fluid-handling systems that require a secure, leak-resistant joint between rigid pipe and flexible tubing. The straight configuration keeps the flow path direct, minimizing pressure drop through the fitting.
Designed as a standard 1 inch MPT to 1 inch barbed male adapter for use with compatible flexible hose or tubing in plumbing, irrigation, and fluid-handling applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning work. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound to the male threads before making up the threaded connection, and secure flexible hose to the barbed end with an appropriately rated hose clamp. Do not overtighten the threaded connection, as brass fittings can crack if excessive torque is applied.
