The BD MANUFACTURING BV004 is a 3/4-inch full-port brass ball valve designed for shutoff and flow control in water, oil, and gas systems. The body is forged brass with an electroplated chrome machined brass ball, providing corrosion resistance and long service life. Both end connections are female-threaded (FPT x FPT), and the valve is rated to 125 PSIG working pressure. A steel lever handle allows quick quarter-turn operation. The full-port design keeps flow restriction minimal, making it well suited for applications where pressure drop is a concern. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and fuel-gas piping where a reliable manual shutoff is required. The female-threaded connections accept standard NPT male pipe threads on both sides. The 3/4-inch nominal size fits common branch and main supply lines. It is appropriate for water, oil, and gas service where working pressure does not exceed 125 PSIG.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install ball valve for 3/4-inch NPT female-threaded pipe connections in water, oil, and gas piping systems rated up to 125 PSIG.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements for gas-service applications. Shut off and depressurize the supply line and purge any residual fluid before removing or installing the valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads being joined, not to the valve's internal female threads. Verify the lever handle is in the closed position before restoring system pressure.
