The BARKSDALE E1S-H15 is a diaphragm piston pressure switch designed for precise pressure sensing and switching in industrial and mechanical systems. It features a 1/2 inch NPT male thread connection and a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact form, making it suitable for controlling or signaling equipment based on pressure conditions. The switch is rated up to 1000 psi maximum pressure setting with a 2% repeatability rating, giving installers confidence in consistent actuation across service cycles. The wetted parts are constructed from anodized aluminum. Electrical connections are made via screw terminals, accommodating a wide range of control wiring setups. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial mechanics are the primary installers of this type of device.
The E1S-H15 is suited for use in hydraulic systems, pneumatic control circuits, compressor systems, and fluid handling applications where a reliable pressure-actuated switching signal is required. It operates across a temperature range of -20 degrees F to 165 degrees F, making it appropriate for both indoor mechanical rooms and moderately harsh environments. The minimum deadband is 0.1 psi and the maximum deadband is 1.20 psi, allowing for fine-tuned control in pressure-sensitive systems. This switch is applicable in both commercial and light industrial installations where NPT-threaded pressure sensing points are standard.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pressure switch for systems with 1/2 inch NPT male threaded pressure ports requiring an SPDT diaphragm piston switch rated up to 1000 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed technician familiar with the applicable system type, whether hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid piping. De-energize the system and depressurize the line fully before removing the existing switch or installing this unit. Verify that thread sealant compatible with the system fluid is applied to the NPT threads before installation. Electrical connections must comply with applicable local codes and NEC requirements for the voltage and amperage ratings of this switch.
