The BARKSDALE 425T4-05 is a pressure transducer rated to 150 psi maximum, designed for accurate pressure measurement in industrial and mechanical systems. It delivers a 4 to 20mA output signal, a standard two-wire current loop format widely used in building automation, HVAC, and process control applications. Accuracy is rated at 0.25 percent of full scale, making it suitable for applications where reliable, repeatable readings are required. The transducer connects via a 1/4-18 NPT male thread and uses an M12 Hirschman connector for the electrical termination. Licensed instrumentation technicians, mechanical contractors, and HVAC controls specialists are the typical installers.
This transducer is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems as well as industrial process monitoring where a 4-20mA signal is required at the controls panel or building management system. It is installed in fluid or gas pressure lines where the process temperature ranges from -40 to 185 degrees F and supply voltage does not exceed 30 volts DC. The M12 Hirschman connector simplifies field wiring and allows for quick disconnection during servicing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pressure transducer for systems requiring a 4-20mA output signal, 1/4-18 NPT male process connection, and M12 Hirschman electrical interface.
Installation should be performed by a licensed instrumentation technician or qualified mechanical contractor familiar with pressure instrumentation and applicable codes. De-energize the control circuit and isolate and depressurize the process line before installing or removing the transducer. Use appropriate thread sealant on the NPT connection and do not overtighten, as this can damage the wetted sensing element. Verify supply voltage does not exceed 30 volts DC before energizing the circuit.
