The BANDO BX66 is a classic cogged V-belt in the BX section, designed for power transmission applications across HVAC equipment, industrial machinery, and commercial mechanical systems. With a 69-inch outside length and a 21/32-inch (0.66-inch) belt width, this rubber belt delivers reliable torque transfer in matched-belt or single-belt drive configurations. The cogged construction reduces bending resistance and heat buildup, making it suitable for smaller-diameter sheaves and variable-speed drives. Licensed HVAC technicians, mechanical contractors, and equipment service professionals install this style of belt on blower drives, condenser fan assemblies, and general power transmission drives where BX-section geometry is specified.
The BX66 is commonly installed in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and industrial drive applications where a cogged BX-section belt is called out by the OEM or service specification. The cogged profile allows the belt to run cooler and flex more readily than a standard wrapped belt of equivalent section, extending service life in continuous-duty applications. Consult the driven equipment nameplate or service manual to confirm the required belt section and pitch length before installation.
Designed as a direct-replacement BX-section cogged V-belt for any drive system specifying a BX66 belt with a 69-inch outside length, 66-inch internal length, and 21/32-inch belt width per ARPM dimensional standards.
BX-section V-belts are installed by HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and mechanical contractors. Before replacing the belt, de-energize and lock out the equipment per NFPA 70E procedures. Loosen the motor mount or tensioner to relieve drive load before removing the old belt; never pry a belt over a sheave under tension. After seating the new belt, adjust to the manufacturer-specified deflection or tension value and check sheave alignment before returning the unit to service.
