The BANDO BX56 is a classic cogged V-belt in the BX section, designed for demanding power transmission applications across industrial, HVAC, and agricultural equipment. With an outside length of 59 inches and a belt width of 0.66 inches (21/32 inch), this rubber belt delivers reliable torque transfer in drives where standard wrapped belts may slip or run hot. The cogged profile reduces bending resistance and heat buildup, making it well-suited for smaller-diameter sheaves and variable-speed drives. Heat-resistant and oil-resistant construction extends service life in environments where fluid exposure and elevated temperatures are common.
The BX56 is used across a wide range of equipment including HVAC blower drives, compressors, pumps, fans, lawnmowers, and light industrial machinery. It is a common replacement belt in residential and commercial air handling units where BX-section drives are specified. Installers working on belt-drive blower assemblies, outdoor power equipment, or general-purpose motor drives will find this belt suitable for standard BX sheave and pulley setups. The cogged design is particularly effective in drives requiring reduced heat and improved flexibility compared to classical wrapped belts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for drives requiring a BX-section cogged V-belt with a 59 inch outside length and 56 inch internal length. Fits standard BX-section sheaves and pulleys meeting ARPM dimensional standards.
Belt replacement is typically performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical service professional. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment before removing or installing drive belts. Do not use belt dressing compounds on cogged or rubber V-belts, as these can accelerate belt degradation. After installation, verify proper belt tension and sheave alignment before returning the equipment to service.
