The BANDO AX25 is a classic cogged V-belt in the AX section, designed for power transmission in HVAC, refrigeration, agricultural, and light industrial equipment. It measures 27.0 inches in outside length, 0.5 inches in width, and 0.31 inches in thickness. The cogged construction reduces bending resistance, which improves flexibility and heat dissipation compared to a standard wrapped belt. The rubber compound is formulated to resist both heat and oil, making it suited for equipment that operates in demanding mechanical environments. Licensed HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and equipment service technicians are the primary installers of this belt type.
This belt fits drive systems calling for an AX-section cogged belt with a 27.0-inch outside length and a 26.3-inch pitch length. Typical applications include blower drives on residential and light commercial HVAC air handlers, condenser fan drives, and similar motor-to-shaft power transmission setups where a cogged AX-profile belt is specified. It is sold individually and conforms to ARPM standards for V-belt dimensions and performance.
Designed as a replacement for any drive system specifying an AX25 or AX-section cogged V-belt with a 27.0-inch outside length and 0.5-inch belt width. Fits standard AX-groove sheaves and pulleys per ARPM dimensional standards.
De-energize all power to the unit and lock out the disconnect before removing or installing a drive belt. Loosen the motor mounting hardware to relieve tension before removal — do not pry or roll a V-belt over a sheave flange, as this can damage belt cords. After seating the new belt, adjust motor position to achieve proper tension per the equipment manufacturer's deflection specification, then re-check tension after the first few hours of operation. Belt replacement on HVAC blower drives is typically performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician.
