The BANDO 5l260 is a fractional horsepower (FHP) V-belt designed for light-duty power transmission applications in HVAC equipment, appliances, and small machinery. Built to the 5L section standard, this belt measures 26 inches in outside length and 21/32 inch in top width with a 9 mm thickness. The SBR rubber construction is reinforced with a polyester core cord for dimensional stability under load. A 34-degree groove angle ensures consistent engagement with standard FHP sheaves. Technicians working on belt-driven blower assemblies, fan units, and similar equipment will find this belt a direct-fit replacement for worn or failed drives.
The 5l260 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, small compressors, and appliance drives where FHP V-belts are the specified power transmission component. The banded construction and DuraflexGL belt series designation indicate a design oriented toward durability in variable-load, multi-start duty cycles common to blower and fan applications. The belt operates across a temperature range of -30 degrees F to 60 degrees F, making it compatible with typical indoor mechanical room and equipment closet environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for fractional horsepower V-belt drives using the 5L section and 5L260 industry number designation, compatible with standard 5L-groove sheaves in HVAC blower assemblies, fan units, and light-duty appliance drives.
Belt replacement should be performed by a qualified technician after de-energizing and locking out the equipment per standard LOTO procedures. Do not pry or roll the belt onto sheaves using tools that can damage the belt carcass or cord; relieve tension by adjusting the motor mount before seating the belt. Verify sheave alignment and check for sheave wear before installing a new belt, as misalignment and groove wear are primary causes of premature belt failure. Follow equipment manufacturer specifications for belt tension during reinstallation.
